Megan Schultz is currently a senior on the lodging track. After trying out a few different majors, she found her home at the Hilton College. As an active member of NACE, she is getting the experience and networking she needs to go into the event industry. She plans to complete her Master’s degree at the Hilton College following graduation.
Quyen La is a native Houstonian and a sophomore emphasizing in event management. She currently works at Cougar Grounds and holds leadership positions in the Vietnamese Students Association and Filipino Student Association. After graduation, she plans to specialize in Multicultural Weddings.
Lee Raborn is a junior on the food service track. He has chosen a minor in beverage management and marketing. He is currently an assistant store manager for Tiff’s Treat, and aspires to open and manage his own restaurant in the future. He is also a member of Kappa Sigma.
Sarah Munoz is a senior on the food service track and is obtaining a minor in Beverage Management. Her strong passion for the culinary industry, has stemmed from her background of working in pristine fine dining restaurants and private catering services. Sarah dedicates her free time pursuing her own scientific research of food chemistry and biochemistry, as well as kinesiology through powerlifting and competing.
Jessica Davila-Alvarez is a junior emphasizing in beverage management, She loves learning about wine and is a WSET Level 2. Her husband also attends classes at the Hilton College, and they plan to open several properties together in the future. When she is not in classes, Jessica enjoys cooking, gardening, and taking care of her 3 children.
Dylan Emerson is a junior and an Eagle Scout! He has spent the last 3 years working with the American River Cruise Company. Starting as a server, he has moved up to Assistant Hotel Manager, and plans to continue with the company after graduation. A jack of all trades, he currently works as a supervisor for the Rock Wall at the Rec Center on campus.
Marcus Gray is a sophomore from Cypress, TX who plans on going into event management. Along with Gourmet Night, he is a Hilton College Ambassador, a member of Eta Sigma Delta, and the vice president of Service and Philanthropy for Alpha Sigma Phi. When he is not serving at Texas Roadhouse, he enjoys reading and outdoor activities.
Regina Aquino fell in love with the customer connection over a cup of coffee during her first job at Starbucks. She is currently a senior minoring in business administration. She is currently a server at Tiny Boxwoods. At the Hilton College, she is a member of TRACC and HFTP. She is excited to bring technology to Gourmet Night this year, having recently volunteered at HITEC (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference).
Trang Le is a junior who plans on going into Human Resources. This is Trang’s second year on the Gourmet Night team, for in 2021, she was one of the Silent Auction and Website Managers. When Trang isn’t working as an Associate Banker for Chase, she is busy being Vice President for her sorority Delta Gamma, as well as cooking and doing arts and crafts in her free time.
Zac Vazquez is a sophomore. Zac has worked for Pappas Restaurants and is currently working for an event planning company. He is the vice president of recruitment for Sigma Epsilon. He plans on furthering his career in the restaurant industry after graduation, with hopes to open his own establishment someday.
Sara Zollo is a junior who is an active member of NACE, as well as a barista for Cougar Grounds. She enjoys traveling, with her latest excursion consisting of her working at a private lodge in Alaska. Sara hopes to work for an international organization, working for properties around the globe.
Karina Huang is a sophomore from Dallas, Texas. Before college, she organized her school’s speech and debate tournaments. She is now an alumni of NSDA and this experience has encouraged her to learn more about hospitality and event management. Recently, she’s become a part of NACE and has an upcoming internship in the summer at Marriott’s Gaylord Texan.
